InFarmatik News Letter February 2008
InFarmatik has released 29 novel building block compounds in February 2008. These compounds were designed to be good starting points for the synthesis of screening libraries for novel cancer, MMP, CNS and other disease targets.
| Terpenoids and related compounds |

We have extended our synthetic capacity to include terpenoid and related cycloalkyl chemistry. These compounds serve as primary screening compounds or intermediates for various novel therapeutic targets which have lipophyllic receptors. The first 4 compounds of the series are -enes of various cyclo-alkyl compounds. They are: GL-1167 (cyclopentyl), GL-1168 (cyclohexyl), GL-1169 (dimethyl pentadienyl) and GL-1170 (cycloheptyl). |
| 1-aryl-5methylpyrazolones |
 |
Another new cluster of 1-aryl-5methyl-pyrazolones is represented with two structures: GL-1152, (4-chlorophenyl) and GL-1154 (2-chlorophenyl) which are chlorophenyl derivatives. These compounds serve as good starting points for building screening libraries for different targets. |
| Mono-boc-protected scaffolds |

InFarmatik has 6 years of experience in mono-Boc-protection of diamines since our first publication. (Kovács, László, (2002) New Ways of Mono-Boc-Protection of Diamines, I. Balticum Organicum Syntheticum, Vilnius, Lithuania (poster). This release contains 5 different new Boc-protected 2-phenyl-THQ derivatives (GL-1147 – GL-1151). |
| Fused imidazoles |

Our experience in synthesizing novel benzimidazoles makes this compound class one of the strongest platforms for our chemistry efforts. Five new compounds were added to this cluster. (GL-1142 – GL-1146) |
| Amino mercapto triazoles |
 |
InFarmatik released 9 compounds in the cluster of amino mercapto triazol derivatives including S- and N-alkyl derivatives. (GL-1157 – GL-1159 and GL1161 – GL-1166) |
| Misc |
 |
InFarmatik is proud to announce the launch of four novel individual scaffolds. Three of the compounds are provided exclusively by InFarmatik. They are useful in the preparation of small multipurpose libraries. |
| Bicyclic maping spacer |
 |
The bi-cyclic mapping spacer is a novel compound, which is useful in the synthesis of a broad range of MMP inhibitors. |
FYI: InFarmatik has stopped the sales of the following materials: GL-0367, GL-0368, GL-0595, GL-0604, GL-0605, GL-0911, GL-0912, GL-0946, GL-0947, GL-0963, GL-0978, GL-1100, GL-1101, GL-1102, due mainly to scale-up issues.
Please also note, that there have been some minor price changes for the quinoxaline carboxylic acid derivatives and a few other difficult to synthesize compounds.
